The four curated galleries (below) of this collection reflect the multifaceted experience that is exploring Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to the southernmost islands of Okinawa. Whether you're a longtime resident, a seasonal traveller, or an aspiring visitor, you're bound to find something here that resonates with your Japan experience. The Aka, Ao and Shiro galleries contain images that align in one way or another with these broad categories while reflecting Japan's unique culture, landscape and history. Meanwhile, the Hai gallery comprises images from a longstanding project that explores a variety of abandoned buildings and forgotten towns.
Each image is printed on high-grade soft gloss photographic paper, then mounted and framed by hand in Tokyo at my studio, ready to hang on the wall. The prints measure 483mm x 329mm, which is slightly larger than A3 paper size. The frames are simple and clean-looking as well as tough. The black aluminum is easy to clean and measures 600mm x 445mm. Each print is part of a limited run, meaning any piece you buy will be one of just fifty in existence. Each image is also available to buy as a non-framed print.
