Torii Tunnel
A line of torii gates is a common scene at shrines up and down the country. This particular torii tunnel in Fukuoka City is one of my favourites. In Shinto, Japan’s native religion, torii mark the transition from the mundane to the sacred. Shinto is also called kami-no-michi, or “way of the gods.”
