The Taisho Clinic

The Taisho Period (1912-1926) saw a clear shift in architectural design ideas in Japan. Western influence began to appear alongside traditional Japanese design, and foreign pop culture was all the rage. Buildings from this era managed to mix elements of traditional Japan and contemporary Europe in a way that many around the world regarded as harmonious and stylish. This disused clinic is one such example, and a particularly clean one at that.
